What is Altura Collaborative?
Altura Collaborative is a network of people, content, information, encouragement, tools, and resources, made by and for people with a lived experience in foster care. We’re here to grow, learn, ask, fail forward, and thrive in our careers - together.
Who is allowed on the platform?
College graduates, students currently enrolled in a college degree program and working professionals with a lived foster care experience.
What does the free membership include?

How do I report a post or response that goes against the community guidelines?
Click on the grey down arrow in the top hand corner of the response and select “Report this content”.
How do I report a member that goes against the community guidelines?
Please send an email to info@alturaco.org with your specific reasons for reporting
How do I reset my password?
First, log out of Altura. Then, on the login popup window, find the ‘Reset Password’ link, from there you’ll be able to submit your email address to get a password reset email sent to your Inbox.
How do I change my password?
Click on your profile picture in the top right-hand corner of the site and select ‘My profile’. Click on the Password Tab and enter your Current password. Enter your new password, and then confirm password. Save your changes.
How do I edit my profile?
To your cover photo or profile pics, click on the camera icons to upload new images. To change your profile name, headers, click on the appropriate edit links and update.
How do I edit or delete a post?
Click the grey down arrow at the top right-hand corner of your post and select ‘Edit’ or ‘Delete’.
How do I edit or delete a response?
Click the three dots at the top right-hand corner of your response and select ‘Edit’ or ‘Delete’.
How do I delete my account?
Please send an email to info@alturaco.org using the email that is associated with your account and we can delete your account.
